Recipe Info

A zesty, and slightly spicy, homemade buttermilk ranch dressing with dried herbs, minced garlic, lemon juice, garlic and chives. This fresh, creamy dressing made with wholesome ingredients, is a thousand times better, and healthier than commercial brands. Try it, and see how much better it tastes!!

Ingredients:
½ cup of mayonnaise
½ cup of full-fat sour cream
½ cup of full-fat buttermilk (or buttermilk substitute*)
4-5 cloves of garlic minced
5-6 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice
1½ teaspoon of granulated garlic (or garlic powder)
1½ teaspoon of cracked black pepper
1½ teaspoon of dried parsley
1½ teaspoon of onion powder
1 teaspoon of sea salt
½ teaspoon of dried dill weed
Fresh garlic chives, sliced thinly, to taste (optional)

*To make a buttermilk substitute, combine 3 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice with ½ cup of whole milk. Stir and let it sit on the counter for 10 minutes before using.

Instructions:
If you’re making the buttermilk substitute, mix that first in a separate container and let it sit for ten minutes. Peel and mince the garlic, and slice the garlic chives (optional). Combine all ingredients, in bowl and mix thoroughly, with a whisk, until thoroughly combined, and smooth. Let it sit for at least an hour in the fridge to let the flavors incorporate. Use for your favorite salads, or as a dip for veggies, wings, or whatever you like. Store any leftover dressing in an airtight container!! Will keep for up to a week.
