Hawaiian Shoyu Chicken is an easy chicken dish you’d get at a Hawaiian BBQ restaurant on the island that’s spicy, sweet, salty and sticky in just 30 minutes!
Ingredients:
5 chicken thighs, bone in and skin on
3 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons water
¼ cup brown sugar, packed
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon ginger, minced
1 small yellow onion, minced
¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions:
Mix together all the ingredients in a large bowl (or large ziplock bag) and let marinate overnight. Preheat oven to 375F degrees. Bake in a baking pan for 30-35 minutes or until cooked through (to 165F).
