Mummy Pesto Toasts
Savory Mummy Pesto Toasts are a crispy Halloween appetizer filled with flavor. Easy to make, and fun to get the kids to help with! Let your imagination run a bit wild, and dress up your mummies with the cheese and olives! Alternatively for the eyes, you can use dots of mozzarella and balsamic glaze.
Ingredients:
24 crostini
½ cup pesto
12 slices mozzarella, or a “white” cheese (cut into thin strips)
olive slices (eyes)
Tools: Kitchen shears, or a knife, sheet pan
Instructions:
Spread each crostini with ½ teaspoon pesto.
Criss-cross thin mozzarella strips like bandages.
Broil 45–60 seconds just to soften; add olive “eyes” and serve.
