Making your own homemade seasonings is so easy and so much more affordable! Making your own homemade garlic salt is delicious and you likely have everything you need right in your own kitchen! Years ago when I first got started on my health journey, I set out to make as much of my own foods as I could. Every time I was out of something I would think, “can I make this at home or do I need to go buy more?” This way of thinking saved me so many times from running to the grocery store for something quick that I ran out of. Like this homemade garlic salt. The first time I made it, I couldn’t believe how simple it was. Plus I had everything I needed right in my kitchen!
Ingredients for a small batch of fresh garlic salt:
¾ cup sea salt, you can use kosher salt but it will be a milder salty taste.
Different types of salt can also be a great option. You just want to make sure it is a good quality salt.
¼ cup garlic powder
⅛ cup dried parsley
Easy way to make your own garlic salt:
Add all ingredients to a pint size mason jar or a old store-bought bottle.
Place your lid and ring on or cap and shake vigorously so that all your ingredients mix nicely.
Sprinkle garlic salt on all your favorite dishes!
