Spicy, flavorful Dragon Sauce is a sweet and spicy condiment with Asian flair! If you like a little spice, you’re going to want to put this stuff on everything, from veggie burgers to roasted potatoes.
Ingredients:
2 T vegetable oil
½ inch piece of fresh ginger, minced
2 large garlic cloves, minced
1 T cornstarch
4 T water
1 t chili flakes
2 T white vinegar
3 T honey
2 T soy sauce (gluten free if needed)
2 T tomato paste
Instructions:
Mix together the cornstarch and 2 tbsp of the water in a small bowl. Set aside. a corn starch slurry in a small bowl. Add the oil to a saucepan and heat on a medium setting. Fry the ginger and garlic for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add the cornstarch slurry followed by all remaining ingredients. Stir well, bring to a boil then simmer for 5 minutes until thickened. Feel free to adjust the amount of chili flakes to your spice preference. Store dragon sauce in a jar in the fridge for up to 1 week.
