Big dogs and smaller dogs will love this balanced, homemade dog treat recipe.
Ingredients:
1 cup rolled oats
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup sweet potato, cooked, mashed (you can substitute pumpkin or butternut squash)
2 eggs
5 slices bacon, cooked, crumbled
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350F. Place all ingredients into a large bowl and mix thoroughly until a nice dough is formed. I used my hands to get the dough thoroughly mixed. It is a dry dough.
Roll the dough out and use cookie cutters to form shapes. I used dog bone shapes, but any shape works. Place shapes onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Bake treats for 20-25 minutes. Allow treats to cool completely prior to feeding to dog.
