Classic Tartar Sauce made with just a few ingredients and in just a few minutes, you’ll free up space on your fridge door and never buy bottled sauce again! Tartar Sauce is a beloved condiment that pairs perfectly with a variety of seafood dishes. Known for its creamy texture and tangy flavor, this sauce has a special place in the hearts of many seafood lovers.

Ingredients:
1½ cup mayonnaise
½ cup sweet pickle relish
½ t garlic powder
½ t onion powder
½ t paprika
1 T lemon juice freshly squeezed
1 T fresh parsley, finely chopped
1 T capers, finely chopped
1 small onion, (or 2 green onions), finely chopped
pickle juice or vinegar, optional
salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:
In a small mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise and pickle relish. Add the fresh lemon juice and mix well to incorporate.
Add the dry seasonings, finely chopped fresh parsley, capers, and onion (or green onion) to the bowl. Mix well!!
Season the tartar sauce with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well to combine all the ingredients. If your tartar sauce is too thick for your liking, or you want it to have a bit more tang, feel free to add a touch more pickle juice, or vinegar!
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer the sauce to an airtight container. Refrigerate the tartar sauce for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Store any leftover sauce in the refrigerator for up to one week.

Tips & notes:
Recipe yields approximately 2 cups of tartar sauce.
1 serving assumes 2 tablespoons.

Adjust to Taste: Feel free to customize the tartar sauce by adjusting the quantities of lemon juice, pickles, and capers to suit your taste preferences.
Storage: Store any leftover tartar sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It will keep for up to a week.
