The Perfect Steak and Shrimp Pasta in Cream Sauce for Any Occasion:

This steak and shrimp pasta in cream sauce truly shines, no matter the event. It feels fancy enough for a dinner party with friends. Yet, it’s quick enough for a delicious weeknight family meal. It brings comfort and a touch of elegance to any table. It’s my go-to for making any meal feel special.

Tips for Perfect Steak and Shrimp Pasta in Cream Sauce:

I’ve learned a few things over the years that really elevate this dish.
↬ For the best flavor, try marinating your steak cubes. Even 30 minutes in a simple marinade of soy sauce and garlic can do wonders.
↬ When cooking the steak, don’t stir it too much. Let it get a good sear for that delicious crust.
↬ If your cream sauce seems too thick, a splash of pasta water works magic. It thins the sauce while adding extra starch for clinginess.
↬ Taste as you go, and adjust the seasonings. That’s the secret to any great dish.

Achieving the Best Steak and Shrimp Pasta in Cream Sauce:

Want to truly master this steak and shrimp pasta in cream sauce?
↬ Don’t skip the deglazing step if you use wine. Those browned bits at the bottom of the pan are flavor gold.
↬ Also, avoid overcooking the shrimp; they become tough. Take them out of the sauce as soon as they turn pink.
↬ Freshly grated Parmesan makes a huge difference. It melts beautifully and adds a nutty, salty depth.

Frequently Asked Questions About Steak and Shrimp Pasta:

I get a lot of questions about recipes, and I love answering them! Here are some common queries I hear about this steak and shrimp pasta. It helps you make the most delicious meal possible. I hope these answers help you feel more confident in the kitchen. Cooking should be enjoyable and straightforward! Don’t hesitate to experiment and make it your own.

Q: Can I use a different type of pasta?
A: Absolutely! Penne or rigatoni work well too.
Q: How do I store leftovers?
A: Store any leftover steak and shrimp pasta in an airtight container. It keeps in the fridge for up to 2 days.
Q: Can I make this dish ahead of time?
A: It’s best served fresh. However, you can prep ingredients beforehand.

Ingredients:

1 lb fettuccine or linguine
1 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1 inch cubes
1lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup dry white wine (optional)
2 cups heavy cream
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Season steak cubes with salt and pepper. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak and cook until browned on all sides and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove steak from skillet and set aside.
Next, add remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil to the same skillet. Then, add onion and cook until softened, about 3-5 minutes. After that, add garlic and cook for 1 minute more until fragrant.
If using, pour in white wine and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Cook until wine is reduced by half, about 2-3 minutes.

Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Reduce heat to low and cook, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens slightly, about 5-7 minutes.
Add shrimp to the cream sauce and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
Return cooked steak to the skillet with the sauce and shrimp. Add cooked pasta and toss to coat everything evenly.
Stir in Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.
Serve immediately.

Notes:
↬ For extra flavor, you can marinate the steak for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
↬ Adjust the amount of garlic and Parmesan cheese to your liking.
↬ If the sauce becomes too thick, you can add a splash of pasta water or chicken broth to thin it out.
