Recipe #1

Ingredients:
2/3 Cup Pureed Raspberries, Blackberries, Strawberries or Blueberries if using frozen berries, let them thaw first, rinse and drain
1/3 Cup Water
1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
2 Tbsp Honey or maple syrup, or sweetener of your choice – to taste
2-3 Tbsp Cannabis Tincture depending on desired dosage. You can also use concentrates, infused coconut oil, or full spectrum CBD oil
3 Tbsp Grass Fed Gelatin

Instructions:
In a saucepan over medium-low heat combine berries, water, lemon juice, and honey (or other liquid sweetener to taste)
Add tincture, concentrates, infused coconut oil, or full spectrum CBD oil and whisk to combine
Slowly whisk in grass fed gelatin
Keep whisking until smooth and all ingredients are combined. Turn off heat.
Using a dropper, fill your silicon mold with your gummy mixture (you could also a pan lined with parchment paper if you’re in a pinch).
Allow to cool for about 15-30 minutes in the fridge or a few hours at room temperature.
Store in a sealed container in the fridge for up to two weeks.

Notes:
Decarboxylating THC and CBD: In order to activate your plant material, you’ll want to put your plant material or concentrates through the process of decarboxylation before infusing them in alcohol or oil. Make a non-infused batch first: I recommend you make one non-infused test batch of cannabis gummies before trying with thc or CBD to ensure you like how it turns out.
Storage: This recipe is perishable, so only make what you can eat and share in about a week. You can also add preservatives, and anti-mold agents, but for health reasons I avoid additives.
Dosing your edibles: Always use the edibles dosage calculator before you step in the kitchen to calculate the dosage of your edibles. It will keep you from having a batch that is too strong or too weak and you’ll have a better idea of what to expect from your cannabis gummies.

Curious about the difference between cannabis tinctures and edibles?
How to decarboxylate cannabis flower – The first step in how to make weed gummies involves putting the marijuana through a process known as decarboxylation, commonly referred to as “decarbing.” This is usually done by grinding your flower and then spreading it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Then, the cannabis is heated in an oven set between 225-250 degrees Fahrenheit for 30-40 minutes, stirring halfway, until fully dried. Time and temperature may vary slightly depending on the strain and moisture content. This process chemically transforms compounds in the marijuana into the versions that get you high.

Step 3: Infuse the cannabis flower with a fatty oil – From here, you’ll need to infuse this decarbed cannabis into a carrier fat, usually butter or oils like coconut, olive, vegetable, or others, depending on any particular recipe you may be following. Do this by bringing the oil and cannabis mixture to roughly 140 degrees Fahrenheit and holding it there for approximately three hours, stirring occasionally. Home cooks can do this in a skillet set to low or by using a double boiler.

Step 4: Combine your ingredients & fill your molds – In a saucepan, combine your desired amount of fruit juice or flavored drink mix, sweetener, and optional flavorings. Heat the mixture on low heat until it becomes warm and the sweetener dissolves completely. Stir frequently to prevent sticking or burning. Gradually sprinkle the gelatin over the warm mixture while whisking continuously. Make sure there are no clumps.

Step 5: Increase the heat. – Increase the heat to medium and continue whisking until the gelatin is fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth.

Step 6: Remove the saucepan from the heat. – If using cannabis oil, add it to the mixture and whisk thoroughly to combine. Adjust the amount of cannabis oil according to your desired dosage and the strength of your oil.

Step 7: Add food coloring. – If using food coloring, add a few drops at a time and stir until the desired color is achieved.

Step 8: Fill the gummy molds – Using a pipette or small syringe, carefully fill the gummy molds with the mixture. Be cautious not to overfill or spill.

Step 9: Place them in the fridge to cool – Allow the gummies to cool at room temperature until they are completely set. You can also refrigerate them to speed up the process.

Step 10: Remove gummies from the molds. – Once set, gently remove the gummies from the molds and store them in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. Make sure to label them appropriately and keep them out of reach of children or unauthorized individuals.

Remember to start with low doses and be mindful of the potency of your cannabis-infused gummies. It’s always best to consult local laws and regulations regarding the preparation and consumption of cannabis-infused products.

That’s all it takes! They’re ready to enjoy immediately, and any unused gummies should be stored in an airtight container.
